Thanks,
I'm not talking about the Sweeney Todd straight razor, but the good old-fashioned razor your dad and grand-dad used? The old school razors and double-edged blades curb-stomp any new-fangled multi-bladed plastic razors made by Gillette or Schick. Blades are much cheaper (and last longer) and the shave is superior in every way. Lasts a whole lot longer, too.

Check out classicshaving.com and leesrazors.com if you are interested. I got my Merkur HD safety razor two years ago and it was one the best purchases I've ever made.

Comment on Half in the Bag

Dear Scott,

Same thing here. I purchased 2 different weighted bags a month ago for my judo club and I also think it's a great and challenging training device.

Greetings from Belgium,

Cedric

Comment on Half in the Bag

Wow, seems handy. I might purchase one as well. Thanks for taking your time to write nice posts about fitness and training! :)

Comment on Attention Cheapskates

Cool. Let me know what you think of it. I am still doing it and have enjoyed irritation-free shaving since I started.

I already knew about adding baking soda to bath water to soften the water (and soothe the skin)(I used to work 12 hour summer shifts at an alfalfa dehydration mill, and baking soda was a life saver).

I plan to give this a try. Many thanks!

Comment on Chillin at the Ice Chamber

Ha Ha! Good to hear Richard. Keep it up.

Scott
Comment on Chillin at the Ice Chamber

I saved up the 2 blogs on the Arnold and this one on Ice Chamber. You sure do some interesting reporting Scott which will certainly further this tremendous and most beneficial sport in America. It's too healthy the Obama Health Care - Death Panel team might outlaw it. I'm 67 and I know in 3 years it's extended my fitness for sure.

Comment on A legend in the making, an article and a video

I really enjoyed that video.
